MBBS in USA for Indian Students 

In the United States, MBBS is not offered as a direct undergraduate degree. Instead, students complete a pre-medical (pre-med) bachelor’s degree and then apply for an MD (Doctor of Medicine) program. 

Requirements: 

• Completion of 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology 
• A 4-year pre-med bachelor’s degree (usually in Biology or related field) 
• Strong academic record (high GPA) 
• English proficiency test (IELTS or TOEFL) 
• Letters of recommendation and personal statement 

Entrance Exam: 

• MCAT (Medical College Admission Test) - This is mandatory for admission to medical schools in the USA.

Cost of MBBS in USA: 

The total cost can range between $200,000 to $300,000 (?1.6–2.5 crore approx.) including tuition and living expenses. Scholarships are limited, so financial planning is very important. 

MBBS in UK for Indian Students 

In the UK, students can directly enroll in an undergraduate medical degree (MBBS or MBChB) after completing 12th grade. 

Requirements: 

• 12th grade with high marks in PCB (usually 85-90% or above) 
• IELTS score (minimum overall band 7.0) 
• Strong academic background and extracurricular profile 

Entrance Exams: 

• UCAT (University Clinical Aptitude Test) or 
• BMAT (BioMedical Admissions Test) (depending on the university) 

Cost of MBBS in UK: 

The average tuition fee ranges between £30,000 to £45,000 per year. The total cost for 5–6 years can go up to £200,000-£300,000 including living expenses. 

Which Option is Better? 

Both countries offer excellent medical education. If you prefer a direct entry after 12th, the UK may be a better option. If you are open to a longer pathway with a pre-med degree, the USA provides strong research and clinical exposure.
